December 2, 20223 yr Sounds like you are trying to emulate the classical era style. I think so far you are doing a fine job. I don't have much to add at this point, but be sure that you balance your bass instruments a bit better so we can hear them. Also, will you give the violas a more interesting part? Or are they only going to be used for repeating notes?

December 11, 20223 yr Don't want the review count to be -1 all the time, so I will respond! I find this excerpt having great potential to be further developed to a full movement! The opening 8 bars are good enough, and can for sure be extended! I love the tremolos in bar 15-24! It gives me thw impression of Schubert's Unfinished, at the near end of the first movement!
