Waltz 5

Recommended Posts

Here is my 5th waltz, I feel like this score stays true to a waltz respite sounding marchish at times. Enjoy!

Hi @hw1234 @HtWinsor,

The first period (b.1-8) is quite likable! I think in b.9 it suddenly becomes a flamingo for the RH melody. The tuplets are quite playful but you can have diferent notes instead of repeated notes. After b.16 it indeed becomes marchish. I think you should maintain the waltz rhythm! The E flat major ending is fine but you have to establish with finer modulatory proces like using half cadence and PAC.

Thanks for sharing!

It's too little. However in this tiny piece you have contained too much too different music characters but you haven't done any development of them. I couldn't understand nor musical form nor contain of it. It's more like a sketch than a finished piece.
