Finale 26 starts hanging up at startup

Has anyone else noticed that Finale 26 started hanging up on startup after a recent Windows update, say maybe 6 weeks ago?  I couldn't get it to start up no matter what I did.  

I contacted tech support, and they gave me a number of possible solutions, none of which worked.  I never again got Finale 26 to start up, and this week I finally gave up and upgraded to Finale 27 and Noteperformer 4, thankful that the NP upgrade was free.  I'm up and running again, but I shouldn't have had to drop a hundred bucks to get that way.  

Just curious what y'all's experience has been.

    I use Sibelius 6 on PC and Sibelius Ultimate on IPad so no problem for me haha!
