Game song inspired by NieR: Automata's "Copied City" and "The Tower" tracks

Featured Replies

made this song after being inspired by some NieR tracks. Lemme know what yall think!

There are a few hiccups that I forgot to edit before I uploaded the tracks as well: Part of the tracks main melody was quantized wrong and there’s a synth that I accidentally left running longer than it was suppose to.

Hello @Gabriel Carlisle,

This one is captivating to listen to. I love the opening Japanese quintal melody with underlying evil undercurrent. From 1:32 on, I think you can add more variety on the timbre, or introduce different harmonic progression. But the track is still enjoyable and thx for sharing!

Hi @Gabriel Carlisle!

I like the delicate and glistening piano texture you introduce in the beginning (and cool delay effect as well).  There is lots of space in the instrumentation/orchestration - everything is clear and nothing is too thick.  I like that - often beginners over-orchestrate their tracks - sometimes, less is more.  I think as far as setting an ambiance for a certain location within a game, this track is spot on.  It gets more intense when the percussion comes in.  Great job and thanks for sharing!

This sounds professional. It is in the vein of NieR. I can't help but wonder if you used a reverb plugin or if that is an out-of-the-box vst sound. The arpeggio around the 55-second mark is a hook for me. Thanks for sharing.
