December 22, 20232 yr Any feedback is welcome! I am particularly not confident regarding the cello and the ending.Bittersweet_Duality (Track 12).pdf
December 23, 20232 yr Hi @piajo, First I think you can put the cello above the piano for the scoring! It’s more common to have the piano under the cello! I enjoy the bittersweet feeling in the music, C# major is great for that. B.21 is lovely with the texture of Japanese anime music. For b.25 afterwards it should be 6/8 rather than 3/4 since it’s compound metre here! Also I think the octave for the cello in b.20 will be hard to play. The ending is left opened with an unresolved ii chord and it’s up to you to decide whether you wanna end it with more firming progressions. Thx for sharing! Henry

Ah, that's why the score looked odd to me. 4 hours ago, Henry Ng Tsz Kiu said: For b.25 afterwards it should be 6/8 rather than 3/4 since it’s compound metre here! Thank you for letting me know about that octave, I'll change it to a single then! 4 hours ago, Henry Ng Tsz Kiu said: I enjoy the bittersweet feeling in the music, C# major is great for that. January 15, 20242 yr My biggest gripe is the Key signature. Why C#? Please for the sake of all of us, please put this in Db. Just trust me on that. NO ONE wants to perform in C#, it's a given that it's Db. Look at Chopin, Liszt, all the greats...it's Db.
January 15, 20242 yr Author @maestrowick C# major is sort of symbolic, but I suppose that doesn't really matter! I'll change it to Db major.
