Víctor Parra Avellaneda
An orchestral piece inspired by a science fiction story I wrote some time ago about two astronauts who discover animals made of exotic matter on an unknown planet. I hope you like it.
Henry Ng Tsz Kiu
Hey @Víctor Parra Avellaneda, Welcome to the forum yo! I find the timbre and harmony of the beginning really interesting, so even it’s minimalistic I don’t find it boring at all, especially you add instruments in each cycle and change the timbre! Like in around 1:58 it’s lighter with pizzicato strings. in 2:40 there is first real change of harmony and I find it real fresh that you introduce some pentatonic in D here with the flutes and oboes! Dry nice orchestral colour here. You slow down the pace at the end which is very smart. Ending it in F sharp aeolian gives a bare and sad feeling for the exploration. I really enjoy this one. Thx for joining and sharing your music here Victor! Henry
Aw Ke Shen
Hi @Víctor Parra Avellaneda ! This is really cool and impressive - even more so when the source of inspiration is another creation of yours !
Louis dB
Beautiful music victor !! really nice orchestration. the organ with strings remind me duruflé requiem. love the minimalist approach and changing between intruments and dynamics, it help to not loose attention to the piece. i wrote something with a looklike vibe years ago inspired by maurice duruflé MD orchestration.mp3 MP3 Play / pause JavaScript is required. 0:00 0:00 volume > next menu MD orchestration > next

Both also have that sense of ( really large ) scale.
