Battle theme for game

Featured Replies

I recently decided to finish version 1 of this battle theme. I am very proud of the progressions used since this is one of the first that uses quite a lot of complex chords. I also finally used the choir in the second half of the loop.

Hi @Gabriel Carlisle,

I think the Eb minor is well chosen for the intense mood with those beats beaten, but I think the brasses can be louder at the beginning. And I don’t know, maybe you can add more harmonic progressions rather than keeping the basic harmonic pattern throughout the whole track! Also I think the dynamic level can vary more and it should have some fortissimo moment! Now I feel like a little bit bored since the dynamic and harmony don’t change much even the voices are invited. I think @olivercomposer’s soundtracks are really great at depicting those epic scenes with great intensity of dynamic level and brass usage and you can check out his pieces!

I totally agree I could’ve done a lot more however unfortunately my computer has gotten slower and worse over the past few months and has really limited me in being able to compose a lot. I am working on upgrading everything but it’ll be a little bit before I finally have everything I need. After all this is version 1, version 2 will be much better since I’ll have much more freedom. Thanks again for your feedback!
