Featured Replies

Here i present to you a piece I wrote in one night amazingly.

I find it a quite a catchy tune. I'm thinking about redoing it as a sonata but eh... when i get the time.

I've performed this at school and i did win an award for it! So i think it's o...k...... er...

Let me know what you think folks!

p.s this is my first composition submitted on to this website... so be nice hehe lol

Hello there Ricky, welcome to YC

I'll start with what I didn't like first.

The piano accompaniement itself seemed sort of limited, sometimes you only had it playing one note at a time and that sort of made for a hollow feeling in the piece. And alot of times there were some oppurtunities for some great counterpoint, but there wasn't much in terms of that, I would've liked to see a bit more of that.

Now onto the good

I didn't especially find the tune "catchy" per se, but I did find it enjoyable. And the passage starting around 30 or somewhere around that was very nice I thought. The violin writing was well done I felt

Well that's all I have time for

All the best

WiK

the violin part is fine, the piano is okay, could be improved.
