3 hand piano effect practice composition (WIP)

Featured Replies

Hello dear folks.

This is an attempt at the 3 handed piano effect.

Any feedback would be awesome especially regarding how well the piece developed and the form of the piece so far.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

Bjarke.

Hi @Bjarke,

I feel like the piece should be notated as 3/4 but have the whole piece augmented twice as long, since I feel it’s more in waltz rhythm.

I think the development is a bit too quick. In the first 16 bars the motion is relatively slow but suddenly fast semiquaver triplets and 32th notes are introduced without previous announcement. I think you can add some transition between them!

For me I don’t think the 3 hand effect very prominent since it only appears in a few bars like b.37 to 39. Probably you should use it more consistently to have a clearer effect!

Also I think b.30 is unplayable!

But overall I like your trial. Thx for sharing!

Henry
