Minuet for Strings

Featured Replies

This is a composition asignment that is not finished yet. it is suposed to be a minuet and trio. i would like some feedback.

minuet & trio 5.MUS

Nice. Very lullabyish. I liked how the piece began.

The only criticism I would have is that the viola needs a solo line just to balence the piece out a little better. Also, the chord at the end could be more complete. Try going, in the viola, from the e to the f instead of the e to the d.

Good job!

Hey Kartapanis, Im guessing you are new here, so welcome to YC

Wow, nice piece, very soothing and relaxing. First thing that comes to my mind is...sort of early period music, well some of ..alike...music from games. Very nice stuff happenning through out, umm solid chord progressions. The only thing that bothered me was.. the end..second last measure, the chord progression was kinda...odd and felt incomplete. Was that on purpose? well anyhoo, it was a pleasure to hear one of your pieces, hope to hear more from you in the near future :P Keep up the good work!

Best Regards

the piece is suposed to be a completle classical period piece. I just now realized that i failed doing that in my B section of the minuet. the ending is not on purpose, i don't like it either but as i said the piece is under construction and i wanted some feeedback.

thank you
