What are some careers in music that make good money?

None that I know of except in popular music - and even then only if you get really famous.

You make good money as a Hollywood film composer. Don't count on being one of the lucky ones who makes it there, though.

If you want money become a concert soloist.

Does it pay a lot?

Enter the music competitions going on around the world - they give a lot of prize money!!!

What do you have in mind--anything in particular? Could you name a few of these competitions, please or all of the ones you have heard of?

If you want to be rich... forget art music for sure... art isn't about being rich... but about passion, devotion and lots of time to spend. You're best to study medecine or pharmacology or such. Then you're more certain to be enough rich if being rich is a goal for you. It isn't for me fortunatly and I live quiet well and happy ! ;)
