Bach cello suites

Hi.

I'm sure most of you are familier with one or two of these but after trawling the net i finally found free scores to all six suites, it's a bit difficult to read but it's all there.

My personal favourite is Bourree I and II from suite number 3, what about you?

I just played the third cello suite today on bassoon for a recital. I played Bourree I and II. :P

awesome, bassoons are cool, but they seem impracticaly large. I'm thinking of taking up clarinet, does anyone know if it's an easy instrument to learn? I can play up to about grade three descant recorder and had a go on a flute in a music shop but felt light headed after fumbling through a C major scale! And wha is tha range ofa clarinet?

I love most anything for all of them. Of course, Suites One and Three stand out, but there are some good aspects in the other four as well.

I like the prelude from the first, that's my favorite of them all :)

I love that prelude, but it always pains me when I hear a high school cellist just sawing away at it. :) Oh well.

Right now I'm learning the Sarabande from suite 2 on the trombone. If anyone wants trombone-oriented versions of the suites, go to Doug Yeo's website. At a recent concert, a friend of mine played the Prelude from suite 1 on guitar.
