HOLY F*&%^

Tebrikler ! ;)

Then Tebrikler!!

Are they going to record it when they play it? And if so would it be possible to hear it?

Horry crap!! Nice job, man. Can't wait to hear a recording of your piece! ;)

That is absolutely fantastic news, Nightfly!! ;)

Will the performance for the recording be done in public in a concert setting or will it be purely a studio-like affair? Or perhaps you don't even know yet? I'm in London so I'll definitely come along if it ends up being part of a programme. ;)

Many congratulations!

This is fantastic work. I can hardly believe this is your first orchestrated piece. Astounding. As others have said, wonderful and engaging to listen to.

Any criticism I might have would be picking nits. Very fresh, with the same kind of knack for mixing orchestral sounds that Stravinsky had.

Congratulations on winning the competition - you certainly deserved it, richly.

hello guys, thank you all for the great support.

All I know is that there will be a 2-3 hour recording session in the Abbey Road Studios here in London. But there will be no concert, as far as I know.

Thanks again !!

Isn't Abbey Road where the Beatles recorded all their early music?!?!

What I would give to have a piece of mine to be recorded, but to be recorded where the Beatles recorded their legendary music? Priceless :musicwhistle:

Sorry The Nightfly,

can you able to download your music on SondClick, please?

It's impossible for me to listen it there. Music stop continuosly so I must replay and it start from bar one.

Thanks.

Wow this piece is awsome, I really enjoyed every second of it.

Oh, and congratulations for winning the contest ;)

I have hear now on MySpace. Very nice.

If this is your first piece for big orchestra, it's a good work: compliments.

Like you write, any section are not operative and I think they lose in tension, but it is ... a dream.

Bravo!!

Best wishes,

Vincenzo

NOTION - Realize Music Challenge

This looks really awesome Nightfly...

...It must be pretty awesome too...

Congrats!

Congrats! It looked cool, I saw the site.

Congratulations on winning - I didn't understand why were in such a rush to write this until I read the later thread about the competition.

I'd like to give some thoughts on this piece, but I will need to re-listen and absorb it much more. This is truly a great work, and I would have to look at the score carefully to give any meaningful comments. I completely agree that you shouldn't write differently for the sake of being different - your piece resembles a wide range of influences, but is unique, and your musical voice has something new to say. Good work.

Incidentally, I'm signed up to a site called filmmusicweekly.com for their free Film music news emails they send out once a week, and they mentioned the fact that you won the NOTION competition...I just thought it was kinda cool seeing as I heard it "here" first!

Your piece is awesome - I really, really enjoyed it. Looking at the other entries, it really isn't surprising you won. You're streets ahead dude. The piece was marvellous, and really evocative. There wasn't a second of boredom or a single moment when I wasn't enthralled by what was going on. Really, you had to stay alert whilst listening - you never knew what was coming next.
