Second piece(or is that third)

I wanted to write a fugue but got distracted and it kinda turned into a completely different beast. Anyways, its not finished as I think I might fix a few issues or add some more to it when I get the time. Thought I'd get some opinions for I start.

well i liked it, im not really a huge fan of fugues, or anything particularily resembling bach, but this is a charming piece! :thumbsup:

Thanks for th reply. It started out as a fugue but as always I tend to get side tracked and end up doing other things. Started out just exploring an idea but I think there are some "sweet" spots in it. Some spots are so great but in general it seems ok.

oh, here is an updated link where I added an ending that I think is kinda cool. I really like the cascading effects that the melody produces when imitated at the octave and in stretto. (happens at 3 places, one with 2 voices, one with 3 and then at the end with 4(although here I had to change a lot of the melody and I would guess its not considered the original melody though)

I like it a lot man, good job for a third song! If I could see a score I could probably point out some weak spots so if you want to upload it...that'd be great.

Very interesting form and counterpoint. You demonstrated very well balanced harmonies while each voice remained completely true to the original phrase. It takes alot of skill to do that.
