One of my first compositions

I'd like to think of myself as more of a classical composer but I've had this song on my computer collecting dust for a while and hopefully I'll get some constructive feedback on it. This is probably my best piece in the more modern musical genre. This is also my first post on this forum :whistling:

Wilkommen! I'm pretty new hear too, it's a cool place just don't take anything anyone says too seriously! :)

Anyway, I am v. impressed with the song, The whole piece has a very summery feel. Quite liked the really quiet whispery vocals tho the reverb/delay on them made it quite difficult to make out what the actual words were! One other niggle is that it felt a tad messy in the synth solo bit in round 2:45.

Otherwise I really liked it. How did you record it?

Yeah, I've heard a couple complaints from people who I showed the piece to (mostly friends and family, so I probably didn't get that much in the way of objective judgements) regarding the inability to make out the vocals, but my recording software isn't the greatest and if I had turned them up any higher the instruments would have been too muted. I recorded it using a keyboard, two electric guitars, one bass, and FL studios for the drum parts, all recorded using my old Line 6 Toneport.

I found your "improv #1" quite interesting! especially with that strange organist who showed up every few bars!!

I once knew a strange organist... *sigh*

As for your little song, "Georgia" I think there are some lovely ideas. The 'soaring guitar' at 20 seconds is a joy, your voice is pleasant and combined with the synth in the verses it makes it quite quirky (if that's okay!). I enjoyed the vocal harmonies but like Thewritingwriter said, some words were hard to make out :thumbsup: however, I struggle with that problem too! So, don't worry, well, worry, but don't worry alone. Worry with me!
