First off im new here so let me take the time to introduce myself. My name is Brandon and I am 18 years old. I am a college student currently majoring in classical guitar performance, but switching to composition when i transfer to a senior institution. I know about counterpoint and all of that stuff but i still cant derive from that how to write lets say a symphony. I write canons and a few other pieces with counterpoint and what not, but its like i slam into a brick wall when i want to write in more than four parts. I think i just have alot more to learn but i would appreciate some feedback. Anyways, im really happy to have stumbled upon this site, it is filled with talent. Thanks for taking the time to read this if you did, haha. :D

I'm having the same problem as you, actually my post is nearly identical, except you're more academic than me. Hope we both find out how, goodluck with your guitar, if you need any classical guitar scores, let me know. Because i have alot of em.

You can try writing another instrument playing an interval above/ below the melody. Or do not use all the instruments at once unless you're at the climax of a piece. Or let a/ some instruments play scales, arpeggios etc.
