How 'bout John Adams?

Oh god, we listened to one of his piano concertos, Century Rolls. Oh boy, that was fun.

How bout that dude, Mozart? :P

Anyone ever heard of Lowell Liebermann. I absolutely love his Concerto no. 2

How bout Hans Zimmer?

I ADORE his Pirates of the Caribbean 2 score!!! Hooray for Jack's theme: the drunken cello!! :D

And the Kraken one is awesome too... :o

How bout that dude, Mozart? :D

Oh, yeah, interesting fella...

:(

How bout that dude, Mozart? ;)

He was awesome.

What do people think of John Harbison?

Who?

How 'bout John Adams?

I really enjoy John Adams. His "Phrygian Gates" was what heavily inspired my "Of Dreams and Memories."

*scratches head*

Don't freak out - I don't know who ANYBODY is.

I love howard Shore. The lord of the rings symphony was a masterpeice.

Blasphemy.

The Lord of the Rings Symphony was a rehash of his score-work for the films. To hear great concert music that's tied to a film, listen to the Red Violin Chaconne by John Corigliano. It was written BEFORE the film was scored, and is therefore a truly original concert work.

Sorry...

I know you don't know anybody.. Its okay..

John Harbison is amazing though...

Pulitzer prize winner...

But you would have known that if you read any of the bios I posted in this thread...

Read them...

And listen to his music...

Now.

I did...

And I know LOTS of people....just none of the same ones as anyone else.

;)

I know.. I'm just messing with you... Its too fun.

:innocent:

agreed.

actually, I thought the music "as is" on the OST CD held up much better structurally than the "symphony" (for which I paid $150/ticket to hear live... I could have bought LOTS of CDs of LotR for those $300), and it holds up considerably better within the film than on the discs, where it at least has true structural integrity.

John Powell, anyone?

What do you think of Hans Zimmer?
