artisimo's piano pieces

Hello, I'm Artisimo (derived from "Natura Artis Magistra" which is the motto of the Artis Zoo in Amsterdam - my nextdoor neighbours)

I started to discover composing 2 years ago, and am hooked to it ever since

Unfortunately I cant play any instrument so maybe my scores are impossible to play. (except for a computer, daa!)

Hi Artisimo, I've listened to your pieces and I've watched your scores.

I like more the leak than the 1st runner. I think they're both a little repetitive. If you considere them studies it's good but as a pieces they would be better if you put some different things. The leak has different things, voices and dialogs but the accompainment is always the same. But by the way, good job!

Hello arniszt, Youre absolutely right, It is a studie in making something out of very little material . I also agree that leak is a bit more appealing. I thought of pruning some bars from 1st runner up, But I thought it wiser to focus on new compositions in order to implement the lessons I learned making these studies.

I liked the 'leak' very much ... I think it's a very good start, has good energy and potential. I think you could try to take it a bit further and work on it more and develop it a bit ... it sounds now like a really good interlude to something larger ... at least I really feel it should develop. Otherwise ... if you compose few more minatures, it could be a part of a contemporary mini suite :blush:
