free good music software

hi everybody I need your help

I'm looking for a good software to create beats, another one to record my voice and another one to record vocal on track, i found some software but after recording i can listen to it again trough media player or i Tunes, i want something that finished the work on an mp3 way so that it would be easy. thanks a lot by tokyogal87

I don't know about creating beats, but for recording and mixing, Audacity is a good freeware program. For MP3s, you need the lame_enc.dll file.

I think what you're really looking for is a sequencer this would allow you to create beats and record audio. Unfortunately the sequencer I was going to reccomend (computer muzys) is discontinued, you could try looking through the website KVR: Virtual Instruments, Virtual Effects, VST Plugins, Audio Units (AU), DirectX (DX), Universal Binary Compatibility - Audio Plugin News, Reviews and Community as this has alot of tutorials and links to free drum machines and synths and what have you, try looking for a standalone one perhaps!

Only one I've heard of is Audacity, but I have yet to try it out, so I don't know how good it is...

Personally, I like FL Studio. Fruity loops offers a trial version of FL Studio 6 where you can mix vocals, import MP3s and create MP3s. It features a mixer which allows you to easily coordinate different tracks. It also has features that allow you to start a track on a cue such as a vocal. The trial version does not expire, and allows you to export mp3s and MIDI files. The lowest version to purchase costs $49.

To "create beats for free", I recommend HammerHead Rhythm Station - Free Software Drum Machine for Windows.

I use FlexiMusic for most of the work in terms of creating beats and mixing vocals etc...

There's some pretty decent free software that can save mp3s from any sound format but midi here
