How do I stop instruments not appearing when ever my score runs onto a new page?

Not quite sure what you're trying to say...perhaps you mean you want some staves to disappear for a time, then come back when they're needed? You select a section you want the staves to come in, and open the Layout pulldown, and select 'Show Empty Staves'. Similarly, select staves you don't want for a section of the score, and select 'Hide Empty Staves' from the same menu.

Is that what you meant?
