The black of night.

I wrote this piece a while ago, It took about two hours.

I plan on learning it one of these days when the music festival is over.

You have a good motif started here. I did like how the piece modulated in 16. It returns to the main key in measure 25. You do succeed in creating the dark, restful mood of night. Your transitions are also quite smooth.

I would suggest varying the theme more when it returns. This would make the piece less repetitive. One way to do this is to change the harmonization. Each time the theme returns the left hand chord is played the same way. The chord can start on a different note to give a different feel to the theme. For example, the first theme appears in measure 1. The left hand plays a Eminor 2nd inversion. That's a good transitory chord, since it's one of the most unstable. The second time the theme returns in measure 8, it's Eminor again, same inversion. Starting the chord on a different note would change the feel of the chord.
