November 4, 200520 yr I need to feel better to give this its due (I've been ill this week). However, I did listen to about half of the Kyrie, and it's striking. Sounds somewhat minimal to me, with a touch of Arvo Part, but that's just a first impression. I'll get back to this.

November 14, 200520 yr I'm just letting you know that I have listened to this entire work. It is certainly pleasing to have in the background, but the whole tihng sounds a little too much the same for me to stay focussed on it for the amount of time I need to right now to give a thorough review. I will add more helpful comments sometime when I have more time to comment thoughtfully. But it does seem to sound pleasing to me, even if it is surprisingly long for a Mass. I'll get back to you on this!
October 12, 200619 yr I can't tell which of the instruments are supposed to represent the human voice. But having sung many years in vocal ensembles, I think it would be difficult to sing and probably impossible to sing on pitch. The composer is not making good use of counterpoint. Recommend remedial training in counterpoint. Even if the piece isn't intended to be classical, voice leading is still very important to any choral music. Fux would be a good source for traditional voice leading.
