desert for Strings

And about this piece.this is second episode of a work with the name of desert.I used very simple techniques but i tried to keep the iranian style of the whole part.I used quartal distances in most cases and my piece tends to be such a film music.At all i`m not very hard on it and you make me happy if you help me in any part of it.Thanks

well, it still ends rather abruptly for my taste.

This could be a question of musical-cultural clash, but it isn't very satisfying to me. To my ear it returns too often to the same two notes: A and G. I don't get a sense that there is more to the thematic material than those two notes. The string writing seems well-done, though without a score it's difficult to tell.

I think what bothers me is probably exactly what you were aiming for - it's described as "music for a film", and to my ear it is very limited and sounds like underscore that is incomplete without the images. I guess as filmscore it's a success. But I can't listen to music that way. I don't have the images to go with the music.

Thanks friend for your reply.About the end i agree to u a bit.Because if the piece seems in hurry the reason is i cann`t use pedal measures between different themes and i`m forced to connect them immediatly.and this is because of my output problem.but:

1.About the cultural clash i agree and as i told you before now i don`t like 99% of the musics i hear in these forums.In fact i even don`t see a theme in them.

2.I think there is some more notes than A and G in my piece.SiB Do Re Mi and Fa.But i agree that atleast having an AG theme is better than having no theme in a piece and only playing with the harmonies.

3.I have to mention that we hear the music and we don`t look at what has been written.I mean what that sounds good has been written good too.

4.Because of that cultural difference it is hard to me to show other ppl my iranian images but i think this piece is not as empty as what you said.

Please take my piece and do everything you desire with it or give my piece to any good guy of all of these forums to edit or develop it.But condition is this: Please don`t change the form of the piece.Then i`ll believe all you have said.
