Our Queen is dead

Featured Replies

This is the first piece from my fantasy/roleplaying theme Im currently creating, and Im quite happy how it turned out.

My current problem is the lack of good orchestral samples found for Reason 3.0, and if any of you got some tips I would be more than happy.

Well, enjoy.

Oh, I have never heard that composer, will try to get hold of his work, my inspiration comes from heroes of might and magic, warcraft and similar games.

That sequence is quite done, I could expand it by variation and will do so asap. The choir is taken from the reason refill "glorious choirs" and added much needed dept to the piece.

Still Im missing much needed drums and percussion.. havent found any good at all, to soft and pancy for my taste. I want power!

and thanks everyone for listening and commenting btw...

Moodred, this is very nice -refeshing too!

Overall I liked it. It served its purpose, and kept me intrigued throughout. I would note some Jeremy Soule ESIII-Oblivion influence here as well! :)I really enjoyed your orchestration of the piece. I think you orchestrated it in a way that was convincing and appropriate for the mood/tone of the composition. That voice sample is very nice, too. :D

I'm looking forward to hearing more from you. Is this piece for a game project?

The mp3 isn't playing for me, for some reason...:P

EDIT: It's my fault, my soundcard is playing up. I'll try and fix it and then have a listen...

It fit's in the mood without a doupht.

This piece made me think of "URU - Ages Beyond Myst". (I hope that's not bad)

Are you going to add the percussion to this part of the piece or are you going to add them later to the expanded part?

Anyways...I like it a lot.

I liked the samples you used. The theme was simple and beautiful, very appropriate. The choir sample sounded surprisingly good.

Cheers!

Thanks again for all nice remarks. I have decided to leave reason behind and begin my summervacation by getting east and west symphonic orchestra (silver edition, gold is too expensive atm)

This may very well be a nice step since I get control over a complete range of samples, recorded at the same place (often a problem for me). Have anyone used it? Is it worth saving up for gold?

And for the questions:

Pianobeast: Im not associated with any gamegroup, Its a project that will include about 12 different songs in the same fashion as above. I have done like 5 so far, but since Im thinking of ending my reasonexperience, perhaps I will rerecord them.

Genetica: I wish I could add percussion, unfortunate for me, the samples I got is to soft and puny for my compilation, and also.. I happens to be the worlds worst drummer. I really dont get it

Wow. Shivers, chills, omg. A wonderful piece, really. I really enjoyed it, it was so full of things. Whoa. Really... good!

Keep writing!

WOW superb!!!!

Well the opening is soo familiar to me, i cant recall where i heard it

maybe princess mononoke or some rpg game.

But this piece is Great anyways its totally my type.

Yes this is quite good, reminded me of Oblivion for some reason. Keep up the good work.
