Sarcasm for String Orchestra and Piano

Just a short little romp I completed today.. It's a scherzo without a trio, somewhat inspired by some Messiaen I heard yesterday. (don't worry, though - it's not a discernable influence :) )

This might turn out to be very good. It certainly grabs the listener's attention! Don't keep it a minute long. Keep writing!

Seemed less sarcastic, more, 'distressing', as I've come to expect from you :P. Certainly sounds like it has potential, I look forward to hearing the rest of it :P

Thanks guys. :P You convinced me to add some more to this.. I might even expand it into a full concerto and make this the second movement scherzo.. So here;

I like the pizzicato strings about half way through. The volume fluctuations are a bit drastic for me, but they work fairly well.
