Dangerous Encounters [War Series]

Well this took me about 1 hour give or take to write. This is supposed to be a reflection time during WW2 after D-Day. A soldier from a book I will write [whenever I'm not feeling lazy] name is Mike. He has just survived the D-Day invasion. As he was walking across the beach he sees dead and wounded soldiers scattered all over the place. He comes to one soldier and notices that this was his brother, John. He kneels down in agony at the fact that he promised to see John after the invasion. He reflects on the good times and the bad times he had with John and finally makes an appropiated burial ground for him on the beach.

This is a sad song.

As you read the book [havent wrote it yet] you can imagine this piece playing throughout the book in certain spots.

I dont know how to make this into a midi file but i have it on finale.

Comments and suggestions would be nice :)

In the first piece, why do you place the "2nd" instruments above the "1st" instruments?

These are both VERY short. They really only feel like the sketches of themes rather than any sort of complete pieces.

I know its VERY short... its short because I dont know how to make Finale Notepad 07 have more pages :P

And the seconds are above the first???

FInale told me they were below the first...

you wrote the 2nd violin part higher than the 1st violin part, same for the 2nd viola part and the 2nd cello part.

To get more pages, just add more measures!

there should be a little icon that looks like a staff with a vertical line on each side - the Measure tool.

I made the second part higher because in our orchestra the o....

nvm...

i was gonna say that the seconds all usually higher...

but I just remember they arent.

but that can be easily changed "got my parts mixed up"
