Fate Deciding Battle

Featured Replies

I just finished this piece a couple days ago. I's meant as a theme for an intense boss battle but I'm not sure how good it is. Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated. SoundClick song info: Fate Deciding Battle by Guitarplayer52 - Song info page with free MP3 music downloads

I would enjoy the "choral" to sing about an octave higher. Would give it a more dramatical sound in my opinion. And there really is a long and boring intro. It's too blurry.

As for boss battles, from my point of view, less is more. I have seen really good boss battles with minimalistic or even music, that one really wouldn't consider using in a boss battle. Something tranquil for example.

This would still work as boss battle music, but in my opinion the whole piece is a bit too blurry and I'm getting headaches from listening to it. Sorry.

Well I can just imagine the situation with this, but to me, this sounds more like background music to a boss talking to the character rather than an actual intense battle. I like the way you came back to the original theme in the middle of the piece. Maybe just a tad repetitive, and i'm sure that someone would get annoyed with the music at some point (especially if they had to play that level again for example). It's good though, keep going with it :D

Well, thanks for the feedback guys, even if the majority of it was negative. I am interested in pursuing a career in writing videogame music and any feedback you guys can give is very appreciated, though I am the sorry the majority of you found it annoying and not very good. When it comes to songwriting I tend to be as diverse as I possibly can, and this was a slight experimentation for me. Maybe I succeeded and maybe I failed, either way I have indeed learned something from this song. Thanks guys.
