altering thread name

You should be able to do this from the full edit screen (click Edit, then Go Advanced).

EDIT: Unless you are referring to a wiki page, in which case the process is slightly different and may need to involve a staff member. Which seems likely, since you posted your question here. Anyway, it would help if you clarified the question. :)

In the Chamber music section I have a piece entitled "On The Cusp of Insanity (maybe complete). I wish to remove "(maybe complete)". Is that possible for me to do?

Like I said:

I don't think that works. I think that just changes the title of the first post in the thread, not the actual thread title that is displayed in the forum.

I may be wrong...

No, I think you're right in saying that.. I recall trying it when I had member permissions - wouldn't work. I'd always scallop at Daniel to change my thread names.

Ah, my mistake - on further investigation, it seems there may have been a time limit set on editing thread titles. Try it now.

I just tried again. I can change the title inside the thread but the post still has the original heading. I assime that this means someone higher up must do it as I have seen it done before.

Hmm, that would appear to be true. I'll look into the issue some more. In the meantime, I've edited the thread title you were referring to.
