"The dark side of the sacred wood" - original theme

Featured Replies

I composed this one thinking it would be a nice theme for some kind of thriller/scary movie or something like that. For the moment I have a one guitar version only, available at

.

The idea is to compliment the guitar with some percussions, and towards the end (as from minute 2 on the video) end the song in a sort of total chaos.

Comments and suggestions are very much welcome of course!!!

Nice guitar playing. Have you ever played an anything by Leo Brouwer?

I enjoyed your piece. There was some good repetition, such as the repetitive Bb bass ostinato which does change to the dominant F later on. If you are going to add percussion you might have to play the electric guitar to make it come through. I thought this piece also had some orchestral potential and you could team the orchestra up with the guitar and percussion like Metallica did in one of their special concerts with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.

Hey man,

Thanks for the comment! I really didn't think about having an orchestra....but now that you say it .....

Cheers

Yeah I think this piece would work better with a full orchestra. But still, I enjoyed this piece. It was kind of predictable and nothing really stood out that much but a very solid solo guitar piece. I'd definetly relisten if you do rearrange this for an entire orchestra.
