Well... It's quite simple really, people that are interested will arrange one (or more!) tracks from the game into a piano piece, this will be added to the first post. We'll continue adding tracks until we have about twelve.

After doing this, we'll find a way to publish it!

Are you kidding? I'm surprised someone else didn't have this idea first, and I'm delighted to get in on the ground floor and do some arranging! Piano is indeed my forte, and it's also my instrument.

I did half of Beware The Forest's Mushrooms last night! Wahoo! It's coming along really well. This would be my first EVER piano arrangement.

I'm thinkin' about a few more, looking at the possibilities. I'll get back to you if I decide to take on more.

Ok... maybe I can use Who Likes Transforming as a development section or merge a few melodies. Really, though, you shouldn't limit yourself to 12 tracks. Of course, I'm just guessing you are by looking at your post... keep in mind, there are a LOT of tracks in this game with awesome potential, like the Forest theme and the opener.

Pipe Vault theme?? How does that deserve a place?? It's just a theme from Super Mario Bros., nothing new! Such a track belongs in an SMB piano collection, in my opinion, just like Fight Against Culex is redundant, it belongs on the FFIV PC. I suppose it could be on there... just seems a little odd to me.

Not that I would wish to be in charge, but this is my opinion of what the tracklist could be. Many important tracks are still left out, but the most important ones remain, IMO. Hope this inspires some to take on these tracks... I might do a few too!

I couldn't narrow it down any further without cutting a track I thought belonged in it, and I included From Inside The Earthen Pipe. Notice I even had to cut Bowser's Castle. Were I to cut five, I would cut nos. 6, 12, 14, 16, and 20. 19 and 20 could also be combined, in theory, to reduce the number of tracks. I personally would love to do either 19 or 20, but I will wait to claim those until I've finished a few... I already have to do four.

I feel like claiming the last track, the parade one. I'll probably end up not doing one of the arrangements I've claimed, as to not seem like a hog....

Hmm, i don't think so. Smb does not have enough tracks to be made into an official piano collection.
