December 3, 200520 yr Dawn A song I made a month ago. Dawn or http://streamer.soundclick.com/jerry_DL/15...ulchen+dawn.mp3 Enjoy. Paul Chen.
December 7, 200520 yr I really like this piece. :D You do a great job of illistrating the feeling you want your audience to have; the only thing i didnt like about it was that you never brought in all of the winds of a full orchestra. I think that there are some amizing parts, that could be enhanced through adding more instruments, but if you just wanted the solo/soli brass, thats works too. You could also make the piece longer, and if you added more instruments I think it would be a lot easier to do that. The ending is also kindof abrubt, but it leaves you wandering what is coming next, so if your writing peice after it for a movie score or somthing like that, then i think it is very effective. How are you getting that sound quality of a real orchestra? :) Ive always wandered how ppl do that
December 7, 200520 yr Author Thanks, but I don't like woodwinds as much as the brass. I use sound samples like Edirol Orchestral and Kompakt Library samples.
December 10, 200520 yr Nice charts position! and i love the song! great music for film, you could really make a careear in making film music! Atmosphere is brilliant, and that chorus was stunning! where did you get those samples? i think the ending shold be more energetic, but then again this is film music so i guess these is just the general themes. Even though the percussion and string work was amazing, i felt the orchestarizatin needed a little touch of colour, and it would be perfect then! not sure what to reccomand.... more brass is always welcome in a war theme i guess. But anyway, it's a really good piece and i think you have great potential :D cheers! Wolf P.S. i'll leave a message on your message obard on soundclick and listen to more of your stuff.
