Well, I have been turning my orchestral work into a midi to get an idea on how long it is so far. Well when I turn it into a midi it says that the piece is 189 minutes long, now for sure that isn't the case. Whats going on?

Could be some problem with the interpretation of repeats or something similar.

No, it plays the length of the piece, then the rest 185 minutes is just silence.

Do you have alot of empty measures after it with just whole note rest or whatever needed for your time signature.?
