robinjessome
Dig THIS: !!!??? reacTable - wikipedia article This thing is featured prominently on Bjork newest record. Looks like a HUGE innovation in interactive electrionics. Need to find some way to hook my trombone up to that thing. I am currently accepting donations to the 'buy Robin a reactTable' fund. I hope to have it my xmas 2008. PM me for details on where to send the cash/cheque/money order.
bob_the_sane
Oooooh yeah, I've seen that thing! It looks absolutely amazing! What songs is it on on Bjork's new album? I love that album!:o If we didn't live on opposite sides of the Atlantic, I would suggest pooling our money and buying one to share.:)
robinjessome
What songs is it on on Bjork's new album? I love that album! It's a great record eh? The packaging is super-cool too. I think the machine is all over it, it's certainly used extensively in her live shows: YouTube - Bjork, Declare Independence, Reactable She puts on one serious live show, eh! Marius
That looks pretty freaking useless besides the fact that it can allow you to have tangible control over those elements to an even greater degree than with the various control pads of modern high-end synth workstations. Neat though, definitely has the novelty value to it. I want one as a coffee table.
bob_the_sane
It may be useless, but that doesn't stop it being awesome! And anyway, how is being used in Bjork's live show useless? It's a great record eh? The packaging is super-cool too. Volta is an amazing album! I got it off itunes though, so I only have the front cover. But an awesome front cover.:w00t:
robinjessome
Volta is an amazing album!:happy:I got it off itunes though, so I only have the front cover.:o But an awesome front cover.;) The artwork is neat, and the actual CD digipack opens from the middle, the image of her in the crazy suit is a big sticker that holds it all together.... Neat. That looks pretty freaking useless besides the fact that it can allow you to have tangible control over those elements to an even greater degree... Useless? Obvously you have terrible sense of usefullness. :P I like the idea of tangible control....seems much more intuitive to me.
colinthomson
Very . . . . Interesting. Hmmmmm. Always had a hard time with sonic modeling. Colin Thomson
