Enchanted Dream

Featured Replies

I haven't done anything here in a while, so here's one of my experimental pieces. I basically used all of the tinkly, metallic sounds included with Finale '06 and threw them all into a short little tune.

If someone could make a midi of this, that'd be great; for some reason, whenver I tried, the timpani came out as chimes. Not a good substitution.

Comments? Suggestions?

_Eurojazzer posted a midi version a few posts down if you don't have Finale....

It was very predictable, but quite easy to listen to. I enjoyed it.

I gotta go...someone's after me

I enjoyed it. The melody was very obvious, and the key changes kept the same idea fresh. The background noises fulfilled the desired effects, and it was very easy to listen to. I'm not sure if the ending is your intended ending, or if it will lead to something else. If it is the intended ending, even if a suspended ending is what you were going for, it didn't work for me. You did say it was experimental though, so it does have potential. Here's the midi file you requested of it as well. Good job.

I liked it, but the ending sounded so sudden. Is it finished?

Yes...and no. It wasn't the original ending, but the song's been sitting there for about a year now, so i decided to see what you guys had to say about it.....

It's really nice, I like it a lot. The ending is quite abupt though, I think you need to do something about that.

I feel that the piece could easily run for twice it's current duration or longer without even adding any new material just by looping back on a few sets of measures in various differnet ways. It's very easy to listen to, but needs a softer landing at the end.

Yeah....I've been trying to think of something to stick in there after that. I'll find something, and when I do I'll post it up here.
