  3. I'm not taking any things you're saying in any way or form. I'm asking you something simple, yet you seem to avoid that at all costs. This will be my last message, sorry. Look, it's not difficult. You posed a question, "what is the problem?". I will reply, and then you'll reply too. • The problem is that you don't cease to talk about yourself in someone else's posts in a way that's uncalled for and irrelevant to the post you're replying. Me and others have given you examples of that already. The problem is not you opinion on anything, but the place in which you are posting them. As I have previously stated, there are alternatives for that (About me section, using your own posts, creating a blog for you and your friends to post your life experiences in). Now, your turn, reply 😃: ♫ Can we convey that all that (your life experiences, episodes, your friends' issues, etc.) is completely uncalled for and that as I told you, there are a variety of alternatives if you want to keep sharing that? ♫ Can we convey that expressing your opinions on someone's piece is not equal to dropping paragraphs and paragraphs of events of your recent life that happen to have absolutely nothing to do with the original posters' pieces, which contributes/adds nothing in regards of feedback to them or to virtually anybody else? Yes or no? Your answer, or your lack of it, determines your future here. These will be, hopefully or unfortunately, my final words. Best regards, Daniel–Ø.
  4. Please calm down, or you can ban me if you like, because you are a Mod. I would not be comfortable with that responsibility, but I must still point out that you might be wrong about me. I am no egoist, just want to appreciate life, and create what art I am capable of. I consider myself no better than the average, good human. I don't know why you take the things I say as somehow arrogant; I am frail and an ordinary Human like anyone else. What is the problem? I will write my music, and you write yours.
  5. Good. I am not talking about the piece. This is not about your one line opinions. I'm talking about you narrating your life episodes to people in others' posts and flooding them with it after you drop that one-liner. Don't make me state those questions again. Reply to them and I'll call it a day. That's all.
  6. It was just a little joke piece. Cannot a mod or admin just delete the entire thread, and let bygones be bygones! I really don't want to offend anyone, but I have some opinions, though: these opinions of mine may be mitigated.
  7. Stop blabbering and focus on the two questions, told you three or four messages ago. Are you going to answer them? If you answer is yes, then do so, cause we ain't getting past that point otherwise. If you prefer not to answer, I can end this for both parts and call it a day.
  8. Today
  9. My God, are you really a good moderator? I am just trying to be diplomatic, yet you take everything I say the wrong way; the opposite. I still have nothing against you, because I have not met you yet in person.
  10. Agree to disagree in what exactly? These are questions I'm posing for you to reply, not statements you need to refute or points you need to disprove. I'm not talking about the musical realm now. I wish to leave this or any other argument off, as long as these questions are properly replied.
  11. Good God, My Good Man; can we at least agree to disagree? I am less able in debate, as I am a fairly able music composer. I just do it for fun; no one pays me! Can we just leave this argument off; I have no BEEF with you, and just enjoy good music together? 🤪
  12. Sure, sure. 🤠 Reply to these two questions I handed you over, please.
  13. Some cannot enjoy life, with unfortunate physical conditions. If you are at least somewhat physically healthy, explore Art, or at least Crafts; Kraft ist Deutsch for power, strength, and enjoy life if you can. There IS an afterlife for sure, but you take your Karma, Action, with you...
  14. Stop blabbering, I'm serious. I will try again. ♫ Can we convey that all that is completely uncalled for and that as I told you, there are a variety of alternatives if you want to keep doing that? ♫ Can we convey that expressing your opinions on someone's piece is not equal to dropping paragraphs and paragraphs of events of your recent life that happen to have absolutely nothing to do with the original posters' pieces, which contributes/adds nothing in regards of feedback to them or to virtually anybody else?
  15. Lord, I really don't want to fight you good people, it is just that you take certain things I say the wrong way, and I have to get a little bit nasty, as much as I myself can tolerate! JUST WRITE YOUR MUSIC AND ENJOY LIFE!!!
  16. Why do you have your head stuck so far up your Arsch? Just remove it, and then you can at least fart und Sheisse decently! As the Italians say; Ma Gavte la Nata! (Please remove the cork.) Then, you will not be so blown-up, will shrivel to your natural size, and not be so CONSTIPATED!!!
  17. I did, just told you that. Do you read me? Answer my two questions from my previous post, man. It's something we really need to sort out now.
  18. Do you really want to try to Analyze Beethoven? Read the Swafford Biography; a 1000 pg. plus Tome! Took ten years just to research! Jan Swafford is a composer too, and we are at least similar in that we are mainly tonal, but include little atonal measures in our music, just for fun...😉
  19. No, you ain't doing that. You're writing a one-liner of what we could convey to call an opinion. Then, you proceed to tell us (in that very same post) a lot of stuff about you & your life in someone else's posts. You're human, glad to know. Now, can we convey that expressing your opinions on someone's piece is not equal to dropping paragraphs and paragraphs of events of your recent life that happen to have absolutely nothing to do with the original posters' pieces, which contributes/adds nothing in regards of feedback to them or to virtually anybody else? Can we convey that all that is completely uncalled for and that as I told you, there are a variety of alternatives if you want to keep doing that? No comment on the ugliness/prettiness of Beethoven and his looks. That was just a detail, my sources are mainly Jan Swafford's take on his life. He has a book called "Beethoven: anguish and triumph".
  20. Not a harpist, so I couldn't speak to the playability of this piece, however, just judging off of the difficulty in the reading of this alone, I would wager to say that it would be either extremely difficult to perform, and would likely be reserved for only the best of the best harpists 😅 as far as your question regarding string harmonies, I feel that it was done very well. it blends well, and it very much so fits the description that your title suggests. Very ethereal, whimsical, magical etc... I was also gonna comment on the fact that you had a pppp for piccolo while they were playing in the high register, which would be physically impossible, but as I thought that it was likely just for the playback, your description of it affirmed that suspicion lol so I'll leave that one be. Though, I do wonder if this could be more legible if written in a different time signature? 🤔 Right this second, I haven't taken the liberty to subdivide what you have here, to suggest a specific time signature, however, I say this because the 11-lets & 15-lets, without having some sort of a split-beam, at least to me, become difficult to follow, and appear unsightly, but that's simply my own opinion on the appearance and readability of the score itself. The work itself is phenomenal! I'm simply unsure of how it would be best written to allow for the clearest interpretation while reading. Thanks for sharing, and apologies on my lack of suggestions for alternatives :/ at the time I've decided to login, my brain is just not at its peak performance, as I've just made it back home from a repair job and it's currently 12:32am my time 😅
  21. Hello everyone, I'm back, this is my new piece in Japanese style, hope you like it. the video: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1c3EQ6aE9k/?vd_source=95e0ca6d098d75738c935e50eaa3ac41 Op.8 Nr.2.mp3
  22. I know I promised to listen to these preludes, and I will when I calm down, but I am very weary of people taking little things I say the wrong way. I am a talented composer myself, but no Genius. Go talk to Bach or Beethoven. I just want to enjoy life if I can, and write some music, when I feel like it. I will listen to your preludes when I am in the correct mood. ☹️ Obviously, just glancing at the scores, you are a good pianist and composer, and don't use any more "Black Notes" than needed.
  23. Really, guys, my fellow composers, it is really not so serious as some would like to make it out to be! Enjoy life, if you are able, and if you are not able, try to find something simple and beautiful to comfort you! That is all, I am no savior or prophet; I just try to be an honest man.
  24. Good God; leave me alone! I just want to get a little drunk, and not write any music right now, but listen to something good but fun, like well-constructed Classic Rock and Roll! I want to see my best friend Jackie tomorrow, if she is not too busy, so we can get together and clean this little shotgun-shack hovel of a house! ☹️🤣😉
  25. Yeah, whatever. I just post my pretty-good music, and express my opinions, such as they are. I am human, like anybody else.
  26. Well, he survived Smallpox, for God's sake! His beauty was in his music, not in his Face! He had deeply penetrating eyes, so they say, but he was described by women as being short, swarthy, and ugly! His MUSIC, however, was beautiful, and will last for all eternity, as long as we do not fick up this world so much that no one can survive...Just write your music like anyone else, who has a taste for that sort of thing. It will outlive you for sure, when you are in the afterlife, if you deserve such a thing. Don't hurt innocent children, and be a basically good person, and you will have a very good chance! Bon Chance!
  27. I'm reading through all this and I must point out that this is kind of wrong. Not that he didn't have deep friendships with women, guess that's probably true (though it was definitely not a friend of his brother's wife*). What I wanted to state here is that many did find Beethoven attractive in his youth for certain manners he had and he did date various girls, including some "precious one" or "beloved one" whose identity is not really clear. Now, regarding your issue here, which I'm not sure if you see or not Mr @Churchcantor : the problem here ain't your sense of humour. I would say it's not really that you overextend on your personal life. The problem is that you do that in posts from people who are asking for feedback, criticism, or any other commentary relevant to the piece, WIP work, set of pieces, etc. that they are working on! Look man: In this post by one fellow old user of this very forum, which showcases ten preludes for piano that his user made, you replied: You know this part I marked in bold and cursive. That's outside of the feedback. Your feedback is: "Hey, these seem very nice! I will check them out. Already "liked" them, I can just tell from glancing at a few of them..." And then you, all of a sudden, proceed to talk about you, your piece, your friend, etc etc etc. That's uncalled for, as simply as that. But you kept going dude, what? Good man, this ain't a personal chat with you and a common friend of yours. Guy doesn't know Jackie, most likely. Guy doesn't know you either, and now for some reason whenever he turns on the PC and sees some notifications, instead of actual feedback you know what he will find? You, talking about yourself, about your friend that needs xyz, about oh wait is this some actual feedback? Ah welp, no it's not. You didn't listen to the preludes, but you already posted 3 messages there and 2 and a half of them are about you, and the other remaining half is split between saying that you didn't listen to the set of pieces & that you "liked" them. And finally, yet another message: Did the Henry guy ask you about you or your friend man? Or the original poster of the preludes? Do you realise you're still replying to a post that consists on an user posting 10 preludes and awaiting for feedback? Didn't you think about sending Henry a private message in regards of his confusion? Don't you see why he's "confused" at best? Cool dude. What if you, instead of going to someone else's post to talk about that, don't proceed to give us all that speech in your own post, with your own music? If I wanna talk about myself, look at what we got: If you feel that what you want to share of your life is too long for this "About Me" section, my best advice would be: host a web, make a blog, and let your friends know. This is not about trolling or not trolling, being funnier or less; It's not even about you yourself Churchcantor. It is about not spamming your life on someone else's posts when it's absolutely, completely, categorically and unequivocally uncalled for. You got me, right? Regards!
