  1. This is my "Two Sententiae for Piano, Op. 315". It is one of those sets of sententiae that are composed of only two sententiae. Sometimes a third or further sententiae are simply not within my inspiration. And I believe that those twin-sententiae-sets are perhaps the more powerful, pure, and "precious" for their "rarity" or scarcity.   2. So I see you're experimenting with broken sequences here. I think the second one works better than the first since it is used as a developmental figure instead of part of the initial motivic device. The parallel fourths and fifths in the first one could have contributed to that perception, however.
