  1. Hello everyone, I am eager to join the forums and check out everyone else's work! I just posted my first original orchestral track, Protector of Light on Youtube. Please take a listen and provide feedback! This utilizes orchestral sample libraries only, but I plan to incorporate live recorded instruments into future works. If anyone likes the music, please subscribe. I have many more songs in the works! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsPGNgYxtuI&feature=youtu.be Kind Regards, StarCrypt

There isn't any memorable melody. If you want to compose a polyphonic piece for solo violin then you have to give even more independence to each voice. Your melodies rely too much in the harmony you are using and that harmony doesn't seem to flow very well.

"Impressionist" I'm not sure about necessarily, but it does work nicely. I might consider some rhythmic variety in terms of the piece's general isochrony, but it still flows well.

Delightful! The live rendering makes this all that more enjoyable. The middle section, from about 1:50 to the return of the opening theme, was just phenomenal! You definitely know how to put together a piece of music; the phrasing and structure were expertly done. You also don't seem to be cowed by different tonalities. You are their master, and they do what you say. (Typically, beginning composers struggle with diverging from the home key—they don't trust their ear enough to bring them back home.) This was great, a real ear-pleaser. I'd love to see a score so I could play it myself! Thanks for sharing!
