  1. I have a real problem with finishing pieces. One day I love it, the next it's horrible and ends up in the closet, I listen to it again a year later thinking "Yeah, it was goood!" but I never finished it because I've evolved since then. So I don't literally throw things away but I have tons of half-projects and 20 seconds tunes that nobody is allowed to approach. It happens to lots of composers from time to time but when I say it's a real problem, I mean it's about 80% of my writing. Maybe it's because I'm not good enough yet, but at the same time, how can I progress if I spend my time writing beginnings?
  2. Yes, it sounds improvisational and a little messy but if that's what you wanted to do, then there is no problem. I personally liked it, it reminded me a little of Scriabin, the very ending was the only part that bothered me, precisely because it was expected. I often have the feeling that young people use the word "dream" in a title as an excuse to lack form, sometimes it gets too surrealist, here it's ok.
  3. I agree with the comment above and it's sometimes difficult to follow because some parts are too long, it seems to last longer than 10 minutes. There is a problem with the recording, but that's okay. On the plus side, I found there was a pleasant dignity all along, it sounds noble, but at the same time I don't really get why you talked about "hope" and "consolation" because it is very sad, like France is already dead, maybe I badly understood your description.
  4. That's a lovely piece. Also you chose instruments I don't know (read: have never approached) so it was interesting. I really enjoyed this, thanks for sharing, the only negative thing I found was that the atmosphere was a little bit overwhelming at times. Questions: why did you decide to work "from" Satie? Why an accent on "Hômmage"? I speak French and it was the first time I saw one there, I googled it and found a few examples but I'm still not sure that's correct (I might also be wrong).
