  1. That's probably a good idea  But is Finale and Sibelius made by the same company? (Since you can upgrade from Finale to Sibelius)
  2. I might try Noteworthy for now, and maybe later buy Sibelius or Finale. Thank you for your great advice! :D
  3. I'm not trying to be Einstein, I just quoted him.
  4. Thank you! It really helped  Have you ever tried Musescore? I think it's quite new, but it seems good, and it's free.
  5. Thank you! I've heard Sibelius has a lot of extra features. Probably good to start with something like 16 staves. But should I write it by hand or on a PC? Jonas
  6. Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new -Albert Einstein
  7. It was structured according to the sonata form structural plan. But I should probably read more about orchestration.
  8. Yes, it really helped! ;) Great chart, and good thoughts. I think I would learn a lot by trying to compose a symphony, even though it might me horrible. Thanks :D
  9. I agree, I just can't find any books! Thank you for this great answer, I will listen to all of the examples. . I will search for ideas, and than apply step 5,6 & 7 ;)
  10. Thank you! I will listen to some of the first symphonies composed by composers such as Sammartini and Stamitz. :D
  11. Yes, I have composed a piano sonata.
  12. Ahh, actually, a week ago or so, I got to borrow "The Study of Orchestration" from my music theory teacher. It's heavy stuff for a 15 years old boy who hasen't english as the native language though ;)
  13. I see. I listen to a lot of symphonies, especially Mozart's ;) Thank you for your answer
  14. Probably true. But I'm just curious.
