I've played Chrono Trigger -- there is some Yasunori Mitsuda influence for sure. ^_^ Hmm, I'll try experimenting with full arrangements, though it does get much harder with 3+ instruments, it might take a while haha. Yeeah, totally agree, it's always a challenge to introduce change in a smooth way. Ooh, now that you mention it, I remember that some songs stop the rhythmic elements, then play the main theme slowly with minimum accompaniment, and it sounds really pretty -- I should definitely try that. ^_^
