  1. Thanks so much for the comments! It's almost been one year... haven't had much time to compose but I did work on a few more piano works and one orchestral one actually - will take note of this as I compose!
  2. So, I composed this piece a few years ago, and never published it. But I'm still posting it here just for the comments! (Note that "3 Piano Sonatas" is the title although i only wrote 1...) Sadly, I didn't add dynamics...
  3. I'm writing a violin cadenza and the playback says it's about 2 mins long although I estimate a real life player would take about 2 mins 15 s. How long should it be?
  4. Thanks! Actually, I am doing a lot of these...like using Musescore shortcuts and stuff... oh...I don't have a keyboard...
  5. Also, particularly for symphonic pieces/chamber music, it really takes a lot of time to write!
  6. Thanks, but as a budding composer, I feel my output needs to increase. My dream is really to make classical music known and appreciated by the world, and to do that I first need to get better at composing. But besides, quality, quantity is also important!
  7. This may seem like a nonsense question, but how do I compose faster? Ever since school started, I've been really busy and all, but I still really want to compose. I'm working on a piano trio right now, but it seems like I never make any progress no matter how hard I try. Anywhere from shortcuts and tricks in Musescore to changing the way I look at composing, please give me some ideas. I really feel like I could do much more if given more time!
  8. And to all the people out there celebrating Lunar New Year's Eve, have a blessed New Year!
  9. So, I have not finished my Opus 1 yet... But I suddenly felt the inspiration to write this waltz. It's really short and compact, but still I hope you guys like it! 🙂 Any comments would be appreciated! 🙂 Waltz.mid
  10. Hehe, I was born in Singapore and yep I only got to see snow the first time recently. Program still for you to guess! XD
  11. Hi! This is my second published work after a short one which I have recently took down and am planning to repost as WoO 2 (WoO 1 being my yet-to be published Winter Fantasy). I have received some comments already by other people but I wish to seek what you guys think about this short piece. This etude is about playing parallel passages on the right and left hand. I hope y'all can give some feedback! Thanks in advance! Étude No. 1.mid
  12. Hi! This is a short fantasy I wrote for Christmas. I came to know of this event only a few days ago, and I've been quite busy, so I only had time to create a short three movement work spanning only 3 minutes and 20 seconds. The playback quality is not the best, and I apologise for the lack of dynamic variety. I'll be posting a much better and well-developed work next Christmas! I'll also be posting other works of mine that I'm working on when I'm done with them. Hope you guys can comment on those and help me improve! (P.S. This is my first work that I've posted on this forum and it's based on a recent trip of mine where I got to see snow. It's fully programmatic but I'll leave you guys to figure out and interpret the meaning by yourselves!)
