  2. I wasn't that convinced at first, but over time it progressed into a very beautiful piece overall. I wouldn't categorize it as truly ambient, but I see the whole Aphex Twin-esque electronic vicinity to that definition of ambient. Certainly it is very cinematic. I wouldn't mind listening to an EP of this and similar works.
  3. Listenable? Very much so - I'd say a beautiful work indeed.
  4. Hello friends, I have released a piano album this week (a home recording). It consists of 19 pieces I've composed in the last three months. I've tried to space around different kinds of harmonies, especially modal and with lots of incursions into the hexatonic. Piano album After a couple introductory pieces, there is a 6-part suite which very loosely follows the forms of the Baroque suite. Then a short sonatina, and finally some longer pieces of freer form and broader inspiration. ---- I've tried to embed the link but I am just not capable of.
  5. Hi Frank! Thank you very much for your kind and supporting words. Regards
  6. Hi Henry, thank you for listening and replying. It is indeed "Bad Sallad", a pun on "Sad Ballad" because, as you pointed out, there's a bit of mixing things that shouldn't belong together (the English & American anthems, reharmonized and thrown in between movements of a sad waltz). So, from a sad ballad it ends up being an unusual salad of themes 🙂"Bad Sallad". The album is generally quite humurous, on the nonsensical side
  7. Hello Luis, I'll start by saying that I really like this work of yours. The use of a tetrachord manages to strike through immediately and gives an adequate impression of the harmonic system used back in the days, albeit constrainted to our 12-ET. I see you know the topic well or at least have done careful research into it. I can't speak for most listeners but I would very much listen to a whole album - or at least some sort of collection - of such explorative works, especially if these were to expand and cover modes deriving from the other two genera of tetrachords (diatonic and enharmonic). Regards and thank you again for sharing.
  8. Hello everybody, I would like to post some piano music of mine here. I have lots of uploads and I don't intend to clog anyone's feed, so I will try to present them over time rather than at once. This is a short album I released one and a half years ago (28 minutes). I like to play around sudden tempo changes and unexpected modulations, and this marked what has been a gradual push for me into that direction. There is lots of humour (though it's not to me to judge whether it gets to the goal or not). I am curious to hear your thoughts on it, what you may or may not prefer, and similar. Any thought is welcome, even just a simple "I liked it/I didn't". Thank you in advance. I am embedding the video here.
  9. Hello everybody, this is my first post here. I've mostly composed and released solo piano music (recorded myself) so far, with the exception of two symphonies - last of which I finished in 2020. I've now composed a piano concerto with Sibelius 7.5 and Noteperformer 4. It's been five years since I produced anything orchestral so I am sure it will come off as rather clumsy in the orchestration (I am self-taught), and I am also aware that the piano part itself is not as virtuosistic as the form would require it (especially in the first movement). The ensemble itself is not large (strings, trombones, flute, clarinet and bassoon, and timpans, besides the soloist). I don't think I have much else to say. I would like to hear some of your opinions. You can ask me anything and I will answer as far as my knowledge of the topic affords me. The work is linked here from my Youtube (I tried to embed but it seems I'm not able or capable to). Thank you for your interest. Piano Concerto on YouTube
