My Favorite classical piece is?
Beethoven - Symphony NO. 3, 5 and 9 Vivaldi - too much to mention Bach - Badinieri

Who is the best composer of all time? Look inside please!
Beethoven and Vivaldi does the trick for me. However, I listen to Vivaldi more than any other composer.

suggestions for violin concerto please??
Try Vivaldi's RV 298 in G Major. I guarantee you'll like playing it. The third movement is gonna give your fingers a good workout! In my opinion, it's one of his gems. (It's from his Opus 4)

Bassoon Concerti/Solo and Symhony Orchestra
Well 'dark' would defintely NOT put you in the Vivaldi realm!!

Concerto in F minor for Harpsichord and String Orchestra
It's pretty good. Lacks a bit of structure in the third movement. The solo (in the third movement) also should have been a little more played. All in all, it's very very well done. Sounds more like Handel and Bach. Vivaldi would be a bit more complicated to imitate as his style is too original.

Anyone know of any classical mandolin music?
Vivaldi would be the best place...I think he was the only composer to create music for this instrument more than anyone else.

Who is the Greatest (Not Favourite) Composer
I would just prefer to listen to Vivaldi and smile all day.

suggestions for violin concerto please??
I know the time for this has long gone. But I'd think that if one is looking to play a violin concerto, Vivaldi would be the FIRST place to look.

And your favorite composer is...
Antonio Lucio Vivaldi

A piece of music you really like but are embarrassed to admit...
Why would one be embarrassed to say that they listen to Vivaldi? In my opinion, he composed some of the most beautiful music that you can listen to. You can hear a joy of composing in most of his work. Remember that Vivaldi wrote his music for three (3) reasons: 1. He enjoyed composing music 2. He thought that music should sound good and be enjoyed by the LISTENER and not only be appreciated by the music intellectual. 3. He was being paid for it. I'll admit that I listened to lots and lots of Beethoven and Mozart since I was 10; until I started to listen to Vivaldi. Now, I just can't seem to stop enjoying Vivaldi's work.
