  1. It's good, but I'm not really feeling the building up that you mentioned. I don't really feel the tension building at all, with it feeling more like a constant loop with some mild variation rather than a build up to a climax or cliffhanger. I guess 'repetitive' would be the most appropriate word. Perhaps you could try shifting it up a key or something midway through, and generally just giving it more variation from section to section. Building up doesn't just involve adding more layers every so often, but also requires variation.
  2. I get the impression that a lot of game music composers feel that they have to reduce the prominence of melodies and such in their work due to the fact that game music repeats, fearing that players will be upset by blatantly repeating parts. While this is understandable, all it does in reality is make the music unmemorable and uninspiring, and I think most gamers would prefer to hear beautiful music that repeats every so often rather than a long stream of averagey music which is fairly indistinguishable from one section to the next. Heck, who doesn't like to hear beautiful music more than once?
  3. Very good! It's almost a little comical, but completely manages to evoke the mental image of a portly woman stomping slowly along a room. One thing you could do is try to extend that first bit of melody. Ten seconds in, I was kind of expecting a repetition of the section prior, but perhaps a key down; you could argue that breaking expectation is a desirable goal, but I'm not sure — I personally think it'd work well. That melody just seems like it's begging to be continued for a little while. Still, good stuff! I'm sure she'll appreciate hearing it. :)
