This is a piece I wrote in a very traditional style over the course of about 2 days. I haven't very well revised it, but I should point out that the clarinet part, although in Bb, is not transposed in order to save confusion in the opening clarinet solo. This may be a little on the dull side for some people, but even if this does not go down well on here, I still consider it to be a high achievement for myself, as the sweet melodies and 'perfect sounding' harmonies in this piece are in vast contrast with the more dissonant atonal style I usually prefer writing in. So, please consider that I'm aware it sounds rather like BBC murder myster theme music when you listen. Any feedback you are willing to give would be greatly appreciated.
