  1. Hi Some Guy, Thank you for listening and commenting! I am glad that you liked the melody of 'Abendgespräch'. I was unsure about it. I'll see if I can find a way to develop the ideas more clearly. Thanks again for listening and your input.
  2. Hi everyone, Here are three short songs that I would like to share with you. They are all based on texts by Hermann Hesse. The first one is called 'Abendgespräch'. The German text can be found in the score. An English translation by Sharon Krebs can be found here: https://www.lieder.net/lieder/get_text.html?TextId=116645 Unfortunately I only have a notation score playback as audio to share for this song: Abendgespräch - Hesse-Lied.pdf Abendgespräch.mp3 For number two, called 'Kennst du das auch?' I do have a proper recording, sung by Skott Johnson. Translation: https://www.lieder.net/lieder/get_text.html?TextId=128143 Kennst du das auch - Hesse-Lied.pdf The last one is called 'Bitte - Rücknahme'. For this it's only notation playback again. Translation: https://www.lieder.net/lieder/get_text.html?TextId=91672 and the second part: https://www.lieder.net/lieder/get_text.html?TextId=126956 Bitte - Rücknahme.pdf Bitte - Rücknahme.mp3 Thank you for listening, I hope you enjoy it.
  3. A very short etude mainly for exercising crossing of the hands. I wrote it because I have some difficulties with this technique. It turned out to be quite tricky for me to play, so there's no recording of it. Hope you like it all the same Etude
  4. Nice, that sounds good. Waiting for the 3rd and 4th movement now
  5. Interesting, what does this idea look like? I'm looking forward to seing the other movements
  6. I've only had a look at the second movement and it is really succesfull in creating atmospheric tension. However the string quartet is a genre where since the beginning much emphasis has been given to the part writing and that's what I've been missing a bit. The voices are not very independent as they are often just following each other in parallel seconds syncopation or in the texture being plain chordal. But since it is a second movement this might not be a problem. It's plenty there you can be proud of. Will also have a look at the first movement when I find the time
  7. Nice work, I like it. The parallel motion in the two upper voices starting at bar 28 sounded uncommon to me. Did you find something similar in Bach? And also the subject is imo a bit long. But these were just two minor issues that didn't lessen my listening pleasure
  8. Hey, congratulations what a great piece. Made me smile :). I guess this ragtime would be great fun in a comic-style game like Tom & Jerry
  9. I like it too. Fun to listento
