I originally posted this is another section and realized it should have been here...

I wrote a bunch of songs and then put them into my program and made them electronicish. I'm only 16 so I'm not the most experienced but I'd like to say that they turned out pretty good.

Hm, what can I say... Don't getme wrong, but it's B O R I N G ! Whole piece - single theme - nothing more. It's fine from 0.00 to 0.30, I thought it'll evolve but no - One the same theme playing all the time. Beginning is very good I think, but after that it's boring... Single harmony, looped theme and nothing more. . . . .

Maybe you can put another harmonies to your songs and let them evolve? :)

Actually this type of repetitive electronic music is very popular and is exactly as imnotbrenthays has portrayed it. There are obvious layers of structure and sounds being layered here very economically - that is called minimalism. I also recognized breaks in the percussion that added a nice pause and then "punch" when started again. Taking into serious consideration the title of this area on the forum and the nature of the work - it is great! No, not my cup of tea - but when you truly love all expressions of sound and have some level of maturity and can understand the type of architecture of a work, it's history or pop culture quality, - you should always be able to make a valid critique worth expressing.

Good job!

Michael
