'Rushing' - brass quintet

This was composed over the span of about three hours, which is half of where the title comes from (in addition to the hasty nature of a good portion of the piece). This was a bit of a stretch for me; the farthest I've gone from functional harmony in a while.

This was enjoyable! The ending was a little sparse, or something, I thought. It [the ending] would sound good with a full orchestra, I feel, but just the brass quintet leaves me wanting more texture and sound. You really played with the range of the tuba, and it was very enjoyable/interesting. The performance, of course, was awesome.

If this were my piece, I would've manipulated the syncopation that you set up in the first bar and made it a motive of the piece. But the path you chose suits just as well.

For 3 hours this is great.The Triton Brass Quintet has a *hitload of talent. As Rafn said though, the ending was missing something. It doesn't feel like it is over. There are unresolved issues. If that was your intent then so be it, but I would have liked a firmer resolution.
