I started on this earlier today, I plan on finishing it but I wanted to show everyone what I have completed so far.

Post a midi and you might get more comments.

At 4 meg it's out of my reach with dial-up.

Ok, that's cool. I like the mood created at the introduction at ~0:13.

Not so sure about the melodic line at 0:41... I think you're overdoing the complexity.

The dropout of the sounds at 1:09 might be better to have first, and then bring in that melody.

I also like where it goes after 1:36... but not so much the way you introduce that from 1:33-1:36.

But from then on out, not much seems to change... a little bit of a dynamic change, and some rhythmic complexity, and then it seems to repeat those 4 bars over and over again... until the end... you might want to try bringing in the original triangle-wave sounding thing in the end.

Overall I like it, but I feel that the mood in the beginning is too different from that in the end... going somewhere in the middle of the piece mood-wise is good, but coming back to the original idea helps make it more "coherent" to the listener.

Rhythmically... this would be hella hard to dance to. It starts out with a more "chillout" sound, and then gets to a point where you almost _want_ to dance, due mainly to the fact that the pads have dropped out, and the more aggressive drumming, but it doesn't quite lend itself to that. Not sure what objectives you have with the piece.

Maybe a bit more work with "theme and variations"?

Hope this helps some.
