My first composition

Featured Replies

This is my first actual composition. It's very easy and basic. The theme is repeating, but I don't find it boring.

Tell me what you think of it. I don't have the sheet music, because I don't have a good midi editor to work with.

Key is Emin

I just saw your post and wanted to make sure you know that even though we are sometimes slow here at YC, some of us do try to get to as many of the posts as we can. It is obvious you have some talent and it would be a shame if you give up on YC. It always helps here if ytou comment on other's works as that will usually get them to comment on yours.

Welcome to YC and keep on composing

Please upload your song onto a safer website. When I clicked on your link, I got a ton of notifications about incoming malware and the like. I would love to look over your piece, but not at the expense of my computer.

That's just errorsafe/winfixer. Esnips is perfectly safe. I've no idea why they let that scraggy coagulate on their site, however...

Yes, Esinps is safe.

Also I would reveiw your piece but my computer's going nuts so, i'm sorry i can't listen to it.

Well...That was rather gorgeous!

You have done well to have an opening that wins the listener over straight away, practically anything you did after that I loved just because of the opening!

I really enjoyed this and I only have one criticism but it's not worth saying as I'll probably be attacked by people...and probably won't express it properly and offend you when it's unnecessary to do so...so...I loved it!

The beginning got my attention. Nice synth sounds! And the percussion in the background also sounds nice. But I find the click click sound a wee bit too loud, try softening it a little.

After listening for a while, the piece tends to get repitative. You can try introducing more material, or change insturments. Keep the ending. It's good.

BTW have you heard of John Adorney? I can hear slight influences of his music in there.

Well, I got my computer back to normal, and I like this piece very much.

Good work!:)

it's very beautiful for your first piece. I liked it very much! It sounds like a soundtrack to a movie.. like in the middle of a battle scene when it all goes slow-mo and somebody falls to the ground.

or maybe i'm just totally off =P

lol that sounded really nerdy :P

great job!

-Smartyy!

EDIT: after listening to it a few times, it sort of sounds like it has influences from Andreas Vollenweider, who does songs like this.

anyway, it also sound like Enya.
